Reflections of Home
Celebrating the Asian diaspora in the Hudson Valley
Reflections of Home: A space to honor heritage, community, and shared beginnings. Enoki is a small Asian pantry and vintage shop founded by Shirley Lim and Tommy Lam. Like many others, they moved to the Hudson Valley during the pandemic in search of a slower pace and a new beginning. As they settled in, they realized how hard it was to find the pantry staples they grew up with—ingredients that felt like home. That absence became the starting point for Enoki.
In January 2023, while expecting their first child, they opened their first storefront in Catskill, NY. It was a modest space filled with carefully chosen goods—Asian pantry items, foraged finds, and vintage pieces— all ooted in care and intention.
A year later, they moved Enoki to a larger location in Saugerties, NY, with the hope of doing more. The new space gave room for a deeper purpose: to support Asian diaspora makers and food pop-ups in the Hudson Valley. From June 2024 to February 2025, Enoki hosted monthly markets that brought together artists, cooks, and small business owners—
building community one gathering at a time.
Reflections of Home is a continuation of that work—a celebration of the stories that weave together the Asian diaspora and reveal how intersecting identities meet and reflect upon one another.
This is not just about goods or gatherings—it’s about belonging.
